INCUBATOR

A Performative Workshop of Edible Sculpture and Spatial Intervention
In collaboration between Nicolas Venturelli ( Folch) and NAKED SPACE, students from Beyond Branding (Elisava) transform the square at Acid House into a site of process-based creation, culminating in a live public event.

INCUBATOR was not a finished piece—it was a 5-day process of co-creation. Invited by food and visual designer Nicolas Venturelli, NAKED SPACE led a workshop with students from Beyond Branding at Elisava School of Design, reshaping the courtyard of Acid House through a series of performative, spatial, and edible experiments.

Drawing inspiration from Gallery Sessions, the group developed INCUBATOR as a living system—part kitchen, part stage, part ritual. Across the week, students explored the intersection of material, form, and behavior through edible sculptures, sound environments, and temporary spatial gestures. Interventions emerged directly from the body and the plate—consumable, ephemeral, and emotionally charged.

The final event, curated and hosted by the students, gathered over 30 invited guests. Together, they witnessed the culmination: a composed series of interactions powered by taste, rhythm, and shared space. The soundtrack was curated to support the spatial narrative—enveloping participants in an environment that was neither exhibition nor dinner, but something in between.

INCUBATOR became a method rather than a result—a testing site for presence, a rehearsal for co-authorship. It affirmed the capacity of food, sound, and spatial composition to generate temporary collectivity and grounded sensory memory.
