NAKED SPACE

EMERGENCE marks the first collaboration between NAKED SPACE and IRRADIA SONORA, an ambient DJ collective rooted between Barcelona and Argentina. Together, we initiate a shared inquiry into deep listening as connective method—where sound becomes the medium for collective attention and emotional resonance.

The project centers on the creation of a sonic field—a soft, shifting environment that spans both physical and virtual dimensions. Audiences are invited not simply to listen, but to move through soundscapes, share stories, and inhabit the listening experience as a participatory act.

The installation combines plain, elemental textiles with the warm angles of sunset light to produce an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive—a gentle sensorial threshold. This is not a performance space, but an environment in which sound and body meet without instruction.

IRRADIA SONORA curated four experimental artists based in Barcelona, whose contributions layered whispers, ambient textures, object sounds, and improvised percussion into sculptural sound. These sonic gestures—subtle and physical—were then spatially interpreted by NAKED SPACE through a design of immersive staging, making the intangible tactile and blurring the line between audience and performer, space and sound.

EMERGENCE proposes that to listen is also to participate. Through shared resonance, each participant becomes part of the atmosphere—contributing to a new mode of perception rooted in presence and response. A sonic threshold for future explorations of how sound, space, and community might continue to co-compose new emotional architectures.
