Out now, the first matter of our printed surface collection borrows the sand from the PLAJA de BOGATELL of Barcelona summer cut out.
A reimagination of surfaces, a dialogue between place and object.
PRINTED MATTER is a newly launched series dedicated to the regeneration of existing site-specific textures, transforming them into functional, daily objects. It is an exercise in naked design—a process where the materiality of urban and natural landscapes is reinterpreted through tactile, wearable, and utilitarian formats.
Each edition in the series captures a fragment of a specific place, translating its surface, memory, and essence into textile form. The first release, BOGATELL, embodies the imprint of Barcelona’s Playa de Bogatell, where the undulating grains of sand are woven into soft cotton, preserving the tactility of the shore in an entirely new medium. It is not just a product—it is a relocation of place, an object carrying the visual and textural memory of its origin.
After its journey to Berlin for a screening intervention, BOGATELL will soon be available in two sizes, online and in select local stores. Through each iteration, PRINTED MATTER rethinks the permanence of surfaces, recontextualizing landscapes into objects that can be carried, touched, and integrated into daily life.
More than a collection, this series is an ongoing exploration—an invitation to experience place beyond geography.
